More than 6000 exhibitors will participate in ProWein 2023, the great wine event in Düsseldorf

More than 6000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries are expected at ProWein 2023 to present their offer in the 13 pavilions of the Düsseldorf fairgrounds. The wine scene will meet at an international event that began in 1994.

«ProWein stands out, above all, for its strong international character, both on the demand side and on the supply side», as Michael Degen, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf. The figures of this fair continue to rise, from 5724 exhibitors in 2022 to more than 6000 exhibitors in 2023.

Preparations for ProWein from 19 to 21 March 2023 are moving at full speed. The registration period for exhibitors has already closed and the organization details that «the positioning interviews with the different winegrowers, collective participations, importers and exporters, as well as suppliers of spirits are in full swing».

At present, they consider that «half a year after the start of the fair, it is already clear that ProWein 2023 will continue its success story of the last 28 years and will demonstrate, once again, its leadership as the largest and most important specialized fair in the world for the wine and spirits sector».

Michael Degen looks at the event: «The international product range at ProWein is unparalleled and offers food retail, specialty trade, gastronomy and catering professionals a unique opportunity to get in-depth information, detect new trends and place orders».

Who will participate in ProWein 2023?

Virtually every wine-growing country in the world will be represented at ProWein in March 2023. This is the case of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, which were not present at this year’s fair due to the covid, will be presented again to the world demand with some collective stands.

Other countries and areas of other continents will also be present, such as, for example, Argentina, Chile, China and the U.S. with California.

And of course the European wine countries, represented by regional growing areas, individual winegrowers or cooperatives, will take advantage to attend ProWein: Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Hungary and many other Eastern European countries, for example Georgia, to name just the ten largest.

ProWein: a platform for brands

ProWein’s organisation states that represents the ideal platform for brands, producers or large wine merchants and importers worldwide, such as Allegrini Estates, Constellation Brands, Enobis, Fratelli Martini, Henkell Freixenet, Les Grands Chais de France, Mack & Schühle, Penfolds, Semper idem Underberg, Schlumberger, Family Towers and VDP».

ProWein and ProWein World: more trade fairs in more countries

After the interruption forced by the pandemic, ProWein 2022 has celebrated its return in an impressive way. They value the face-to-face format with the personal exchange, the live tastings and above all «an extensive program of unsurpassable technical accompaniment».

This is demonstrated by the basic figures of ProWein 2022: with 5724 exhibitors from 62 countries and more than 38,000 professional visitors from 145 countries, it was the central event of the sector and the international business platform of 2022.
